Christine A. Cauffield, PsyD

Dr. Christine Cauffield is the President and CEO of Coastal Behavioral Healthcare, Inc., a not-for-profit community-based provider of mental health and substance abuse services in Southwest Florida. She received her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Florida Institute of Technology and completed her Internship and Post-Doctoral Residency at Harvard Medical School, where she specialized in geriatric neuropsychology.

Dr. Cauffield has served as an international consultant in Berlin during the reunification of Germany, presented at the United Nations on substance abuse issues, and assisted the Red Cross in the aftermath of the crash of Flight 587 in Queens, NY. She is a member of numerous boards including, Florida Council for Community Mental Health, Florida Alcohol & Drug Abuse Association, and Florida Juvenile Justice Association, to name a few. As a licensed clinical psychologist, she is active in the American Psychological Association and Florida Psychological Association.

Dr. Cauffield has also received recognition as an Honored Professional in the Nationwide Register's Who's Who in Executives and Business, was chosen as the Outstanding Alumnus of the year (2003) by the Clinical Faculty of the School of Psychology at Florida Institute of Technology, and is a 2004 Leadership Florida graduate.

Dr. Cauffield is the author of numerous journal articles and has written a book chapter on senior grief and loss issues. She has recently been interviewed on CNN Headline News, CBS Evening News, and in print in Self Magazine, ABC-7 Style Magazine, and Associated Press for national and international media. Her clinical expertise includes substance abuse, trauma recovery, grief and loss issues, and brain disease/disorders in the elderly.
