| Abstract: |
Secretary Carole Green, in this plenary session, will highlight the efforts of State and local partners working to implement the first round of Aging Resource Centers/Aging and Disability Resource Centers in three regions of the State of Florida. Key components include implementation planning strategy as well as challenges faced throughout the process. She will also address the relationship between the Department of Elder Affairs and the Department of Children and Families as they implement the new policy on mental health screening and treatment referral of older adults. |
| Goal: |
To increase the participants' knowledge of the process used by the Department of Elder Affairs and local partners to implement the ARC/ADRC concept in Florida; and implementation of the mental health screening and treatment policy. |
| Objective 1: |
Participants will list the challenges faced by the DOEA and its partners in planning and implementing the ARC/ADRC development, and screening and treatment policy. |
| Objective 2: |
Participants will list the new found solutions to obstacles faced during the implementation processes, and future strategies based on lessons learned. |
